“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” – Maya Angelou

Hi, I’m Tami.
I’m so glad you’re here.

Taking the step to seek therapy can be a difficult decision, and I believe it’s essential for clients to feel at ease with the clinician they choose. After all, therapy is a collaborative relationship, and feeling comfortable with the person you share your vulnerabilities and challenges with is key to meaningful growth and healing.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and bring a unique blend of professional and personal experience to my work as a therapist. Before becoming a clinician, I graduated with honors from Yale University with a degree in economics and built a career in finance, working at UBS Investment Bank and the hedge fund Bridgewater Associates. After taking time to focus on my family, I returned to the workforce in a financial role at a cybersecurity firm. However, my true calling had always been in a helping profession, which led me to pursue my master’s in social work at Fordham University.

I completed my clinical training at Silver Hill Hospital, where I also worked for three years post-graduation, gaining practical knowledge in addressing a wide range of mental health challenges. My academic background, combined with my personal journey - navigating parenting in the digital age, advocating for my children’s needs, blending families, and balancing a career, relationships, family life, and self-care—has equipped me with both the expertise and insight to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

My personality also shapes the way I connect with clients. I strive to create a space that is warm, supportive, and free of judgment. Clients and colleagues often describe me as approachable, down-to-earth, flexible, and direct, with a practical style. I also believe in the power of humor—when used thoughtfully, laughter can be an important part of the healing process.

Whether you’re navigating a significant mental illness, addiction, or trauma, facing challenges during life’s transitions, or simply seeking a safe, unbiased space for self-reflection, I would be honored to support you on your journey. I am deeply passionate about my work and committed to helping clients find clarity, resilience, and growth, all while embracing the beauty of an imperfect yet fulfilling life.

I am also dedicated to providing affirming and inclusive care for individuals from marginalized communities. Everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and valued, and I strive to create a therapeutic environment that respects and honors diverse identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences.
